Gratitude and a quote
Gong Xi Fa Cai!"The flower that blooms in adversity is the rarest and most beautiful of all." It's what the emperor said in "Mulan".
OK Benita, I'm blogging - you'd better withdraw your charges.
Replies to tags from sometime ago (hehe):
Cheng: Yes there's too much homework - how could they do this to us?!?
CHENG and MAB (the flower the great...): Thanks for your lovely tags! THANK YOU FOR THE MARVELEECIOUS BUFFET AT SAKAE!!! I love eating at Sakae (and playing with the computer). Remember how they took forever to cut the watermelon, though? That was strange. So was the sushi that looked like it had bright green caviar topping. They claimed it was some vege-thingy huh... Anyway, I'm getting hungry thinking of the sushi I like, steamed egg, piping hot tofu, cold soba, the tasty bite-size yam mochi and the clayey (but nice) sesame mochi... all our jokes and laughter... Love you... *ENDLESS HUGS AND KISSES*
On to more thank-yous...
BENITA: THANK YOU FOR THE CLOSE-TO-FAIRY-TALE "SHALL WE DANCE"!!! Thanks for taking the trouble to watch it at Orchard... I'm running the afternoon through my mind now... our discussions on the train... us oohing at the fondue outside the Coffee Club, me almost tripping over a bump on the road, our Snoopy...Snoopies, for plural... Miss Cheng buying CDs, the food, all our chatting of course, and the picture-perfect heart-warming glamourous story with dance. Love you. =)
YIXUAN: THANK YOU FOR THE SURPRISE MOVIE TREAT!!! Didn't it feel good, to beat the weekend ticket rates with your powerful movie passes? Whee!! Haha... Remember our best-seats-in-the-house? Smack in the middle of the only half-full big theatre. There was your diet Cranberry Snapple 'cause Original wasn't available, my delicious Burrito and our brief encounter with bright multi-colored Feather Roses... "Hotel Rwanda" was such a sad, unsettling and touching movie. Love you. *Smooch*
MY OTHER FRIENDS: THANK YOU FOR YOUR BIRTHDAY WISHES, TEXT MESSAGES AND CARDS!!! :) If I FORGOT TO THANK YOU PERSONALLY, PLEASE KEEP CALM AND LET ME KNOW - it's late and I'm sleepy, big things could slip my mind for now... hehe...
Some of the latest happenings:
- Watched "Finding Neverland"... heart-warming... "Just believe". :)
- Road Run - 175th position, if I remember right. Sad to see I've slipped about 75 positions since last year. Can I blame it on there being more students this year? Hehe... Were there more than 800 runners? Actually I should blame it on the pasta and my lack of exercise... *Sigh*
- Pongal, Hari Raya Haji, Chinese New Year and Total Defence rolled into one concert - was emcee
Valentine's Day / Friendship Week is round the corner - my dear friends... I've given some of you scrunchies and hair-ties but I don't have funds to buy more presents - I'm quite poor... but it's the thought that counts right? I can give you a hug. =)
Need more holidays... please
